RE: Furniture delivery times during Covid-19
Dear customers,
As with many Canadian families and businesses, the unprecedented times we are living through have been challenging for us, and continue to be so. On the positive side, we have seen a large jump in demand for locally-made furniture from our clientele. This has truly been an inspiration for us, as we have been promoting Canadian made furniture since 2009.
Due to Covid-related supply and shipping issues, all of our manufacturers have experienced shortages in supply of raw materials such as lumber, foam, and metal components. Many of these items are sourced in Canada, and some are imported such as fabrics and glass. Sometimes the delay is expected, and sometimes it is sudden (eg: due to a local outbreak).
The heightened demand for furniture, coupled with inconsistent supply of components, and longer transportation times has resulted in delays in our delivery time for finished product. While some production batches have been unaffected, the average delivery delay for Canadian made furniture has been 2-4 weeks over the typical lead time during non-Covid times. Most in-stock furniture has a delay of 2-3 weeks. We do apologize in advance for the inconvenience this may cause you.
Furthermore, as the situation is quite fluid, sometimes delays come up unexpectedly and information we previously provided may be inaccurate. We also appreciate this is not ideal, and do try to remain as consistent as possible regarding lead times.
We would like to reassure you that all of our manufacturers are in operation, and we are tracking orders directly with our factories on a near-daily basis. Moreover, currently things seem to be settling into a more regular rhythm, and we hope to get back to normal lead times soon.
If you require an update on a specific order, please do not hesitate to contact your local store.
Sincerely
